What the card shows
On a grassy riverbank a man in an indigo robe and a woman in a vermilion robe patterned with white blossoms raise their arms toward the sky. Two small children dance beside them, one in green, one in vermilion. Across the river, among trees and hills, stands a thatched farmhouse. A rainbow arches over the whole scene, and a row of red lacquer cups is set along its curve.
In Rider–Waite–Smith tarot the Ten of Cups shows a couple with arms raised to a rainbow of ten cups while two children dance, a house in the distance. It completes the suit of feeling: the first overflowing cup of the Ace has become a shared, lasting home. The rainbow is a promise after rain, and the house shows that this happiness is lived, not only felt.
Ten of Cups in love
Commitment, family, a deep and lasting bond. Emotional fulfilment that is lived day by day.
Ten of Cups in work
A workplace that feels like family, or success that serves home and loved ones. Keep the balance.
As advice
Spend unhurried time with the people who are home to you. Put the phone away and let the evening be ordinary and good.
