What the card shows
A farmer in a short indigo robe patterned with white blossoms stands on dark tilled earth, both hands crossed on the handle of a long hoe, chin resting on them. A straw hat hangs at his back. He looks at a leafy vine with small white flowers climbing a tall trellis, where bronze discs marked with stars hang among the leaves like ripening fruit. Behind him flooded rice fields with young green shoots stretch to a village, and a snow-capped mountain rises beyond.
In Rider–Waite–Smith tarot the Seven of Pentacles shows a young farmer leaning on his hoe beside a bush heavy with pentacles. It is the card of patience and assessment: a pause in long work to see what has grown. The harvest is not yet in. The rice fields teach the same lesson: planted in spring, cut in autumn, and nothing hurries them.
Seven of Pentacles in love
A bond that grows slowly. Tend it and give it seasons, and ask honestly whether it is growing at all.
Seven of Pentacles in work
A long investment, a career built step by step. Review the numbers, adjust, and keep going.
As advice
Take an honest look at one long project. Write what has grown, what has not, and one thing to change. Then keep tending it.
Seven of Pentacles: yes or no
Not yet clear
It is growing but not yet ripe; the answer is not yet, rather than no.
A question to keep
Which of your efforts needs more time, and which needs to stop?
