What the card shows
A young student with wind-tossed hair stands braced on a steep, grassy hillside, an indigo jacket over patterned sage trousers, a red sash streaming out behind. Both hands grip a single sword held upright before the chest, and the head is turned sharply over one shoulder as if a sound came from behind. Tall grass flattens in the wind, white clouds pile up, and a flock of dark birds scatters across the sky.
In Rider–Waite–Smith tarot the Page of Swords stands on uneven ground holding a sword aloft, clouds and birds behind. Pages are messengers and students, and the swords belong to air: thought and speech. The card is a quick, curious mind at the start of learning, alert and eager, not yet sure where to point its blade.
Page of Swords in love
A lively, questioning start, or a message waiting to be sent. Honest curiosity draws people in; interrogation does not.
Page of Swords in work
New skills, research, a first attempt at something unfamiliar. Ask the question in the meeting.
As advice
Pick one thing you do not understand and learn it properly this week: read the source, ask someone who knows, take notes.
Page of Swords: yes or no
Not yet clear
