Pile I

The Empress

What you tended all year is ripe. Pick it and enjoy it now, while it is sweet. This is the season it was grown for.

Pile II

Queen of Pentacles

Warmth for your own house: a full pot, a mended blanket, one corner kept tidy. Care spent on yourself is provision too.

Pile III

Six of Pentacles

Share from the full basket, and accept what is offered back. A village gets through winter on what passes between its doors.
